There are three different worksheets that work as levels of differentiation: A 1 to 10 worksheet for LA Students A 5 to 15 worksheet for MA Students A 10 - 20 Worksheet for HA Students This worksheet can be used with manipulatives to increase support given. Numbers 20 - 50 to be added in the future.

Here’s my Exploring Numbers Around Us worksheet. This is a simple counting activity that encouraged children to think about numbers in real world context such as counting up children in the class of the numbers that are important to them. There are two worksheets included: Numbers in ME! which encourages children to think about the numbers that are special to them such as their age or their birthday Numbers in my Classroom! which encourages children to think about the numbers in their classroom such as the number of children with brown hair. This product was one of my first and I’m super happy with how it turned out. I hope to update it to include other representations of numbers as ten frames aren’t often used in the UK.

Shape Spotting

Here’s my Shape Spotting worksheet for EYFS. This download includes 4 worksheets that ask children to either color in specific shapes or count how many shapes that can see. The objectives of this sheet is to encourage children to recognise shapes by their characteristics rather than what they know. i.e. this shape has no corners so it’s a circle. It’s useful as the shapes are in different rotations, translations and sizes so encourages children to really think about characteristics. Differentiation is in the form of the two different sheets: LA can be encouraged to focus on improving their knowledge of shapes characteristics with the coloring sheet whereas MA and HA can incorporate number skills with the counting sheet. Furthermore, one set of sheets use ‘basic’ shapes such as square, rectangle, cirlce and the other has diamonds, hexagons etc. Links to: Shape, Space and Measure Counting Numbers

Here’s a worksheet for EYFS to help children practice forming numbers in numeral and written form. This sheet asks children to read a numeral form, trace and write the written form and finally represent the number either in a drawing or on a ten frame. The sheet uses a box font to encourage children to think about tall, small and hanging letters. There are two different forms of differentiation: The Draw It! worksheet for LA students who can draw their representation The Ten Frame It! worksheet for MA and HA students who can represent numbers on a ten frame This worksheet can be used with manipulatives to increase support given. Dice It!, Domino It! and Numicon It! to be added at a later date.
